작가노트 statement
잔잔하게 흐르는 한강을 바라본다. 주변 풍경이 강물 표면에 그대로 담겨 데칼코마니 같은 모습을 만들어 낸다. 수평선 기점으로 풍경과 반영의 모호함에 한참을 바라보던 찰나, 물 위에 떠 있는 오리가 날아오르며 만든 파동에 비로소 현실을 깨닫는다. 때로의 삶은 종이 한 장 차이로 허와 실을 확인하며 살아간다. 실체와 허상의 경계선이 모호해지는 삶에서 나는 어느 쪽에 무게를 두는 걸까?
Looking at the calmly flowing Han River, you can often observe the surface of the river serenely embracing the surrounding landscape. As a whole, the scenery itself and the reflected image become a pair like a decalcomania. The horizon splits the landscape and its reflection; but at a glance, the line between reality and illusion is often blurred. Suddenly, a duck floating on the water soars over it, and the water’s spray bursts from the surface. The scenery in the water is an illusion, but occasionally I delude myself into perceiving it as a reality. In a life where the line between reality and illusion is blurred, which side should I put weight on?
